Hello everyone, it is not a suggestion but more of a question to answer. So, as you can see there is an upcoming stamp dedicated to International Day of Human Space Flight. “to celebrate each year at the international level the beginning of the space era for mankind... 12 April 1961 was the date of the first human space flight, carried out by Yuri Gagarin, a Soviet citizen." This is the quote from the UN article. However what caught my attention is actually not the quote, but the design of the stamp. I would be really happy if someone explains me the connection between Soviet citizen Yuri Gagarin's first flight to the space on Vostok-1 space ship in 1961 and American space shuttle (on the stamp) -cargo ship that was first launched in 1981.
