The duduk is a double-reed woodwind instrument made of apricot wood originating from Armenia.
It has a haunting and expressive sound and has been featured in many iconic soundtracks, such as the movie "Gladiator," the TV series "Avatar: The Last Airbender," and many more.
UNESCO proclaimed the Armenian duduk and its music as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2005.
The duduk was even included as a token in the Armenian Edition of the Monopoly board game, which contains many other national symbols and landmarks of Armenia.
