Black Sheep
Britta70
In the many languages, black sheep is an idiom that describes a member of a group who is different from the rest, especially a family member who does not fit in. The term stems from sheep whose fleece is colored black rather than the more common white; these sheep stand out in the flock and their wool is worth less as it will not dye.

I do think it's usalusuallyly used in a negative context too(like Александр П. said), in german it would be "Das schwarze Schaf der Familie" but I also think that it can be sort of empowering? Like "Yes, I am the black sheep, I am unique, so what?" so I'd love to get a stamp of it anyways :P

In some countries, black sheep is used in a negative sense: a family member who leads an illegal lifestyle. A person who is different from others, an oddball, is usually called a white crow.
