Celtic Festivals / Pagan Holidays
Inkwoman
Since we have Christmas, Easter, and so on, it would be class to have the Celtic Pagan ceremonies that inspired them and others, and are still celebrated to this day. Including: Imbolc, Lughnasadh, Ēostre, Mabon, Beltane, Samhain, Litha, and Yule.

I'd love to see this representation too! I know theres a solid community that celebrates these holidays on the app. Im certain a lot of people would be pleasantly surprised and feel noticed if these were added!

We already have Lughnasa stamp. Instead of Mabon was requested Autumn/Fall Equinox, but slowly ingnored it https://feedback.slowly.app/stamp-requests/p/global-autumnfall-equinox-n-hemisphere-sept-23-s-hemisphere-march-20
Yule was ingnored too https://slowly.canny.io/stamp-requests/p/yule-21-december-1-january

mapuo: I felt sad because there is too much stamp from other religions or cultures. I hope that one day they add pagan holidays as stamp
mapuo
dianablack: we can request it separately and hope

It seems that it is easier for the Slowly Team to work with separate requests, as they can be sorted by date and so on.
Lughnasa
is already planned (yay!), so I wanted to add the next one, Mabon
, only it turned out to be a modern pagan/neopagan festival that was stylised to appear Celtic. Most of its traditions, including the name, seem to be as old as the 1970s. I apologise if this is not accurate, but I could not find any reliable source saying otherwise.Still, I did not want a good research go to waste, so I have just submitted a request for the September equinox, which covers
Mabon
as well. :)Hope this solution is acceptable!

Nonethewiser: That sounds like a good idea. Mabon might not be ancient but it's still sincerely celebrated by many as a religious festival. (I'm sure a lot of the international day steps being proposed are based on days established after 1970.) The autumn equinox is a great compromise between modern pagans and other groups, since Mabon is designed to coincide with the autumn equinox and changing of the seasons iirc.

This sounds like a great idea. Slowly has stamps celebrating festivals from many religions, so why not also include the pagan holidays?

HeroIsAGirlsName: Exactly! And the Celtic festivals are great. Glad to see more people think the same :D
