[Egypt] Ancient Egyptian Deities / المعبودات المصرية القديمة
complete
mikimi
I think it would be cool to have a set of ancient deities. Egyptian mythology and gods are well known. There are thousands of deities, I picked the most famous. These wiki links are for seeing how they look like.
1) Ra (god of the sun, king of the deities and the father of all creation)
2) Thoth and Maʽat (married)
– god of wisdom, writing and judgment
– goddess of harmony, justice, and truth
3) Osiris and Isis (married)
– god of fertility, life, the dead, the resurrection, ruler of the Duat (the Underworld)
– goddess of healing, magic, kingship, the protector of women
4) Horus and Hathor (married)
– god of war and the sky
– goddess of love, beauty, joy, motherhood
5) Seth and Nephthys (married)
– god of disorders, deserts and storms
– goddes of air, the protector of dead
6) Anubis (god of afterlife, mummification and embalming, the protector of graves)

Shiro from Slowly: Thank you so much for allowing this set to be written in Arabic. The Arab/Egyptian community thanks you greatly for this!

Yeah and it should include Hieroglyphs if possible. It'll be so cool!

WOW!
Scythero98
Amazing idea. I hope it gets approved.

I recommend they would be written in Arabic though, so it can be more special for us, Egyptians
Scythero98
Eliᴢabeth: I absolutely agree.

Nonethewiser: Just in case - you do realize that Ancient Egypt doesn't exist anymore? And that there's currently a country in its place with its descendants?
Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know Slowly is planning to travel back in time to deliver those stamps to the Pharaohs and deny their descendants?
Next time, do a better research. My good fellow, I believe we are done here.
Scythero98
Nonethewiser: If it makes you feel any better, there's currently zero stamps written in Arabic and it seems this set will not be an exception but, that is definitely not acceptable.
I will do my best to reach out and ask them to do something about that in hopes they actually care just a little about a large chunk of their user-base that just so happens to be predictably reticent.
Scythero98
Nonethewiser: Alas, I genuinely thought you had a meaningful argument. It seems the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree. It's disappointing that I'm wasting my time reading this nonsense and even replying to it.
The Arabic translation is far from perfect. Please, if the only language you know is English, don't go around thinking that others have it at the same way.
Ah, I can see that your argument is that since I don't have any Egyptian ideas on the site that I shouldn't be talking? Well. I guess I have to go raiding every idea on the site as a part of a meathead megalomaniac trio to talk down to people and tell them which stamp should and shouldn't exist, don't I? 😊
Or, hear me out, or I could go around copy pasting entire paragraphs and pictures from Wikipedia of countries and talk down to people with different ideas with a massive ego. You are not so clever, you see.
Mate, I don't know why other users allow you to bully them, but copy your nonsense and paste it somewhere else. There's something definitely wrong with your existence if belittling others aids in the enhancement of your pathetic ego. Cheers :)

Wow, I think this idea is amazing! If it is Egypt only, I would love to receive a stamp with this theme.
