[India] 6 Indian Philosophies
iBrewCoffee
Philosophy has been a part of Indian culture since the days of the Vedas.
In fact, India is arguably the pioneer of systematized philosophical thought.
It has inspired innumerable people, who have referenced it in their works.
It would be great to have a stamp set of 6, each for one school of Indian Philosophy:
- Samkhya
- Yoga
- Vaishesika
- Nyaya
- Purva Mimansa
- Vedanta

We should add Charvak, Bhuddhism, Jainism and Sikhism too and complete the set of 10 Major Indian philosophy. as the 6 above are called Sadhdarshan and are primerly all Hindu philosophy. Given there is more to Indian schools of thoughts I suggest adding the remaining 4 of major Indian philosophy would be a great idea.
Shiv....
It will be a perfect set for the stamps.

iBrewCoffee idk why this doesn't have much upvotes. made a korean friend here and she told me how she had indian philosophy as a subject. india introduced atheism wayyy before it got generalized and should i say became a trend. thats what she was studying, known as 'charvaka' branch of indian philosophy. insane to imagine indian philosophy was this advanced thousand of years ago. i mean having schools of materialism, believers, non believers, believers but not in vedas which then ended up sprouting into other diff religions like Buddhism and Jainism. indian philosophy is for real. also unpopular opinion but indian education system should have it too. not as a compulsory subject ofc but definitely should be added as a lesson/chapter till grade 10 lol.

Tar.e.sh I agree with you. I think one of the reasons why this does not have many upvotes could be because many people in India don't know anything about Indian philosophy. And also because many don't even know that Slowly has a suggest a stamp page. I mean, I found out about it today purely by accident.
