"Ugadi" is celebrated as a New Year in Telugu states of India. It is also a New Year day to Karnataka (called as "Yugadi") and celebrated in Maharashtra as Gudi Padwa. It has a history of around 2000 years old. One of the iconic aspects of Ugadi festival is raw mango harvest and "Ugadi Pachadi", a drink made of 6 flavours (sweet, sour, salty, spicy, bitter and astringent). It is a reminder that we savour both the pleasure and the pain in our life equally.
