[Iran] The Shahnamehو 'The Persian Book of Kings' Premium Set
Harry.Bt
ShahNameh is a long epic poem written by the Persian poet Ferdowsi between c. 977 and 1010 CE and is the national epic of Greater Iran. Consisting of some 50,000 "distichs" or couplets (two-line verses),[2] the Shahnameh is one of the world's longest epic poems. It tells mainly the mythical and to some extent the historical past of the Persian Empire from the creation of the world until the Muslim conquest in the seventh century. Iran, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and the greater region influenced by Persian culture such as Armenia, Dagestan, Georgia, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan celebrate this national epic.[3]
The work is of central importance in Persian culture and Persian language, regarded as a literary masterpiece, and definitive of the ethno-national cultural identity of Iran.[4] It is also important to the contemporary adherents of Zoroastrianism, in that it traces the historical links between the beginnings of the religion and the death of the last Sasanian emperor, which brought an end to the Zoroastrian influence in Iran.

Let's promote the post for ShahNameh (Book of Kings) with your valuable minds
Yann2
Harry.Bt: Hello and thank you for the mention.
What do you have in mind for a stamp set? Any images that could be used for example? Getting a stamp set accepted is harder than a single, so the more material, the better. It is also a paid item, and on a restricted area, country only. So it needs to be very attractive for the users in that country, and for other people who might want to collect it too.
We can work on it, and invite Nonethewiser as well as it has some of his favourite topics involved.

Yann2: A Valuable question! Shahnameh is not a single book and it includes part of History, mythologies, fables, love stories, tragedies and different aspects of cultural marks.
There are enough items to be selected as a set e.g. Heroes like Rostam, Siavash or Epic wars or historical events and so on.
and of course, Ferdowsi himself as the composer who dedicated 30 yrs of his life as well as his own wealth to accomplish the project.

Rostam or Rustam is a legendary hero in Persian mythology. Rostam is best known for his tragic fight with Esfandiyār, the other legendary Iranian hero; for his expedition to Mazandaran; and for tragically fighting and killing his son, Sohrab, without knowing who his opponent was. He is also known for the story of Seven Labours.

Harry.Bt: I am happy you liked it! As you said, Shahnameh is a mix of history, mythologies, love stories and so on... So I tried to cover all bases with 6 characters, which is impossible, but hey, it's worth a try.
