A (typically older) Bosnian woman, who goes around the neighborhood (mahala) and collects information on everyone. She knows all the gossip and all the secrets. Occasionally stands on her window/balcony and judges the youth (collects more info). Typically wears a knit vest, a shirt underneath that has lived through a war and could withstand another, and a marama (scarf) on her head (babushka style).
