[Romania] A “Mărțișor” stamp - an old Romanian tradition that happens every year on March 1st

The Mărțișor is a Romanian tradition loved by everyone. It celebrates the coming of spring and people celebrate it gifting each other this little gift called “mărțișor”, which is a red and white string, that’s usually tied to a pin or a brooch. It is a really important tradition here, and I would love to be able to send and gift my penpals a stamp representing this lovely tradition, while telling them about it.

I would suggest you to make this stamp for Moldova since we have the same tradition

The most popular mărțișor is coșarul (the chimney sweep) which is believed to bring good luck.

It is indeed the most important day of spring, Marțișor and snow drop flowers are like must have in the first 10 days of March. Love it.

Ooh, that'd be really great! I remember when I was in school, especially in elementary, when we used to exchange mărțișoare with our female class mates and I'd come home with a bag full of them! :D Great times!
