The critically endangered smooth-coated otters being native to Singapore (https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/urban-otters-singapore-wildlife) have risen to popularity in recent years after their come back, and especially after international fame on Sir David Attenborough's documentary Wild TV (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-36700728). Though they are wildlife, they dwell amongst the urban living space with typical Singaporean and co-exist with them with much encounters and interactions. They have been a part of the national identity since and were also recently celebrated on Google Doodle (https://www.google.com/doodles/celebrating-the-bishan-otter-family)!
