High Tatras is a mountain range located on the border of northern Slovakia in the Prešov Region and southern Poland in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. It is a range of the Tatra Mountains chain and is the highest mountain range within the Carpathians. The highest peak in the High Tatras and the Carpathian Mountains is Gerlachovský štít at 2,655 meters.
