Mirzo Ulugbek (1394-1449) was a famous astronomer, mathematician, and ruler of Samarkand. He established one of the most advanced observatories in the medieval world, the Ulugbek Observatory, and created a star catalog more accurate than many in Europe at the time.
He represents both scientific progress and cultural heritage in Uzbekistan and is widely respected as one of the greatest scientist in Islamic history. His contribution to astronomy deserves to be honored with a stamp.
the stamp could feature:
The Ulugbek Observatory
A starry night sky with constellations
A portrait of Ulugbek wearing traditional robes.
I think, this would not only highlight Uzbek heritage, but also show appreciation for science and education.
