World Theater Day is an international event celebrated every year on March 27. This day is organized to highlight the universality of theatre, its cultural significance and its impact on society. The aim of World Theater Day is to celebrate and promote the art of theater and raise awareness worldwide. UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) declared World Theater Day in 1961 and since then it has been celebrated by theater lovers, artists and cultural institutions with various activities. This day provides an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of theater to the shared experiences of humanity and cultural diversity.
