The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), formerly and also colloquially Zaire, is a country in Central Africa. By area, it is the second-largest country in Africa and the 11th-largest in the world. With a population of around 108 million, DRC is the most populous officially Francophone country in the world. Despite all that, DRC currently does not have a location stamp.
The only place in the world that you can find a wild
okapi
is in the dense tropical rainforests of the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is why it is one of the national symbols of the country.
Okapi
is also known as the forest giraffe, Congolese giraffe, or zebra giraffe. Although the okapi has striped markings reminiscent of zebras, it is most closely related to the giraffe.
This beautiful animal is even feature on local bank notes and postal stamps, so I think now it's Slowly's turn. :)
