The Forget-Me-Not flower is a symbol that commemorates all of the 1.5 million lives lost as well as survivors of the Armenian Genocide. It honors our heritage, history, ancestors, and everyone affected in the past and those who still continue to be affected through transgenerational trauma from the massive open wound since 1915. Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day is on April 24th.

Genocide Remembrance Day

Shiro from Slowly: Is going to be released globally?
Shiro from Slowly
TimidMaus: This is exclusive to Armenia.

Shiro from Slowly: Thank you so much Shiro! This stamp is very beautiful. ๐ฅน๐๐๐ I'm very happy and grateful for the Slowly team, their lovely artwork, and all of the efforts put in to make it one of the best apps I've ever seen.

Sadly, Slowly isn't the place for this kind of stamp. They should light and positive, rather than being so deep and reflective. Already, you can see the arguments below - over a stupid, virtual stamp.
For me, there are many wonderful options - the Mother Armenia statue, the pomegranate, Carahunge, Dragon Stones or Sevan. These equally celebrate the richness of the country, are more in keeping with Slowly's integration policy, and don't create hostility.

Why not have both stamps? Your ideas are amazing and I greatly hope they become implemented someday as well.
Slowly and letter-writing is meant to be deep, reflective, and exchanging one's thoughts, interests, culture, history, or anything they would like.
Plus there will always be both a positive and negative part of any country's culture and history whether you like it or not. If people get hostile over others remembering and honoring their ancestors, then that is their own problem.
Edit: Also this is a stamp under the "special days" category, so if I'm not mistaken it will be just like how the Martin Luther King Jr. stamp is categorized as for a special day in the U.S.
I don't think it will be available throughout the year or be a general country stamp.

DrWhodini: Also, I saw your own suggestion awhile ago and made sure to upvote it as well.
If anyone else is reading this message, please make sure to check out DrWhodini's idea and upvote him too!
You can check it out in the link below. Thank you very much!

Great! Then let's also release a special stamp in Azerbaijan, for the Massacre done by the Armenians in Khojaly Town!
Known as "The Khojaly Massacre" on 26 February 1992!
**Please, don't dig deep into the history, because it would stir up limitless political conflicts between Pen-pals!
And I can easily give you many ideas/examples for political stamps that would disturb the peaceful harmony atmosphere Slowly's members are having and enjoying :)

This is very misleading propaganda. Please stop spreading misinformation and being disrespectful. This stamp is not political, but meant to be as a memorial for our ancestors that we have lost and as a reminder that we are survivors from an attempt to be wiped off the face of the earth. Please do not be so disrespectful. This stamp idea was never political, but you are making it a political issue by bringing up completely irrelevant topics.
What happened at Khojaly was NOT a massacre but an act of self-defense. Thousands of more Armenians have lost their lives, been barbarically decapitated and mutilated by Azeris, and been victims of genocide and war crimes committed by Azerbaijan than compared to the small amount of Azeris that have passed as a result of wars in the past century.
Here is the real true history about what led up to the so-called "massacre" that you and many people complain about and make a completely unequal and unfair comparison to.
If Azeris put down their weapons then there will be peace, if Armenians put down their weapons, then there will be genocide and no more Armenians left in Eurasia. I wish and hope nothing but for peace between both countries.
I do not mean this as an attack against you, but I mean this politely and civilly to inform those who care about the truth and not contemptuous lies and brainwashing.

mxmrose: OMG! This wasn't a misinformation from me ^^ Any kid can simple search google and definitely would read and acknowledge about the Barbaric acts of Armenian Soldiers against the Azeris!
And all of that happened on an Azeri Land " Nagorno-Karabakh ", which Armenia have occupied it, so it's not a SELF-DEFENSE!! OMG!
Exactly, what Russia is doing in UKRAINE right now, in the new Annexed 4 regions ^^ would you confidently say what's the Russian army doing a SELF-DEFENSE?!!!
Again, it's just a simple advice from my side, PLEASE don't dig deep in the History, Unless you want to disturb the harmony we're trying to have and maintain here!
ะะปะตะบัะฐะฝะดั ะ.
FreeBird87: Wikipedia as a source of evidence? Are you serious?! A site that has had to have entire fake sections removed more than once? Existing for years?
As for Russia and Ukraine. Yes, self-defense. But it's not correct to accuse Ukraine of that either. Just like Germany in the two world wars. Is the knife to blame for the murder and not the one who acted with it? There is an old joke: If an asteroid falls on England, there will be peace on Earth.
Terms of Use
That's a very good idea, I hope it gets through.
